Over a hundred years have passed since our founder, kyutaro Nakazono, began making pickles in Kagoshima in 1912 (Meiji 45). The traditional techniques have been passed down, earning trust and recognition from our customers for many years. We manufacture and sell blended powdered soup stocks made from a variety of natural ingredients, including traditional Japanese bonito flakes (katsuobushi), dried sardines (niboshi), flying fish (ago-bushi), kelp (kombu), and shiitake mushrooms.
We also produce smoked nuts using the same equipment traditionally used for smoking bonito flakes — a unique snack that pairs perfectly with drinks.
