South Australia is widely recognised as Australia’s leading wine state, producing around 80% of the nation’s premium wines. It is internationally acclaimed as one of the world’s finest wine regions, and winery tours that allow visitors to experience the region firsthand are extremely popular.
South Australia is also highly regarded around the world as a source of premium, clean food. From its pristine oceans, the state supplies high-quality seafood to global markets, including the well-known Southern Bluefin Tuna. It is also famous for its beef and lamb, as well as its citrus production—particularly navel oranges.
In recent years, “Roo Meat,” or Kangaroo Meat, has been attracting growing attention in Japan. Since Kangaroo Meat was approved for human consumption in South Australia in 1980, it has become widely enjoyed across Australia and is now commonly found not only in top-tier restaurants but also in retail meat sections.
