These are plum tablet candies made with 100% Kishu Nanko plums harvested from our own farm and contracted farmers. The ingredients are simply plums, salt, and sunlight. Since they are not de-salted or seasoned in any way, the aftertaste is refreshing and has the traditional flavor of umeboshi. They are also packed with citric acid, making them perfect for preventing heatstroke on hot days, replenishing salt after exercise, or as a refreshing snack. There are no pits, and they won’t make your hands dirty, making them a convenient, new kind of umeboshi tablet candy. ★The salt content of “Plum and Salt” is about 0.13g per tablet, which is roughly 1/6 of that in a lightly salted umeboshi (8% salt) per plum.
