    The Japan Olive Oil Prize (JOOP / Japan International Olive Oil Competition) is an international contest aimed at widely promoting and raising awareness of extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) produced around the world in Japan.

    Since its inception in 2013, JOOP has been held in Japan and is renowned for its completely fair and transparent judging, conducted by professional olive oil tasters representing the global standard. Each year, approximately 600 EVOO entries from around the world are evaluated, and the finest oils are selected.

    At this exhibition, we will showcase the top 15 overall rated oils (out of 578 entries) that received the “Best in Class” award in the 2025 competition, allowing visitors to taste them firsthand.

    JOOP conducts all judging through rigorous blind tastings, eliminating any bias or influence. Therefore, EVOOs awarded Best in Class at JOOP are guaranteed to be of internationally recognized, exceptional quality.
