At J Vineyards, all sparkling fruit is hand-harvested at night in cool temperatures to ensure the grapes remain in peak condition. An ultra-gentle pressing in our Coquard presses (rarely found in the U.S., and one of very few in California) prevents astringency or bitterness, and ensures a clean, refreshing mouthfeel. And the same high level of attention and care is poured into each still varietal as well, creating a portfolio that is consistently lauded and always enjoyed.

Vintage 2023 offered fruit quality, concentrated flavor development, bright acidity and incredible balance thanks to a long, mild growing season and extended hang time for the grapes.

Aromas: Tropical fruit, butterscotch and frosted yellow cake

Flavors: Approachable, bright and flavorful, with layered notes of ripe apple, juicy naval orange, grilled pineapple, lemon zest and hints of honey

Mouthfeel: Rich and creamy with a touch of vanilla on the long finish

Food pairing: Enjoy alongside creamy brie topped with orange marmalade, fresh green salads with almond, stone fruits and goat cheese or roasted chicken with herbed rice pilaf.
