SAKURAMOCHI is the most popular Japanese traditional sweet in Spring season.
"SAKURA" means cherry blossom. This mochi is wrapped with pickled SAKURA leaf so that it can provide SAKURA flavor with which people can feel "JAPANESE SPRING". The dough is made of glutinous rice and sugar, and it's cooked with gentle steam by taking long time. The rice is cultivated by contracted farmers in Hiroshima.
The filling is smooth red bean sweet paste. The red bean and beet are cultivated in Hokkaido.
