We are a family owned and operated boutique winery situated in Vernashen village, in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia. We work with grapes grown on our own estate and also collaborate with local farmers. To us, winemaking is an art, reflecting our passion and deep love in every bottle. The name KRYA, which means turtle in Armenian, was chosen to symbolize longevity, fertility, vitality, and patience. Our winegrowing and winemaking approach emphasizes the utmost respect for nature. We refrain from using herbicides and employ only biological practices, limiting treatments to a minimum.
Reviving abandoned century-old vineyards with modern cultivation techniques by shaping them to embrace sustainable practices is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. The careful restoration of these historic vineyards not only breathes new life into the land but also honors the legacy of those who tended to the vines before us. In winemaking, we rely on native yeasts and minimal interventions, avoiding finings and using only a moderate amount of SO2.Exhibit Product Krya Sev Areni red dry reserve wine,
