Ripa della Volta’s winemaking philosophy leans toward balance, elegance, and finesse rather than raw power—even in their Amarone. The philosophy has been deeply rooted in sustainability and organic farming. The estate now has around 25 hectares of vineyards under its care, located between 300 and 600 meters above sea level, all farmed with respect for the land and its biodiversity in Valpantena valley, on marly, calcareous soils with a good presence of skeleton (stones and rocky fragments). The climate is Mediterranean but moderated by winds from the Lessini Mountains and significant diurnal temperature variations, which preserve acidity and enhance aromatic complexity. These soil and climatic conditions favor healthy, slow-ripening grapes: the marly-calcareous soils lend minerality, structure, and tension, while the elevation and ventilated slopes help maintain freshness and elegance in the final wines.
