Merko, established in 1982, is a publicly traded tomato processor. The company started tomato paste production in 1995 at its Tepecik factory and, within a few years, built an integrated system by adding two new paste lines and a diced tomato line. Always focusing on sustainability, Merko invested in diced and whole peeled tomato lines for HoReCa use in 2021, expanding its warehouse capacity to 3,000 m², and in 2023, with the addition of new packaging lines, it also entered retail production, increasing its storage capacity to 6,000 m². In 2025, the company commissioned its Passata filling line in glass bottles and, as of October, also commenced sauce production. Today, with its factory built on an area of 136,000 m², Merko Gıda is among the world’s leading tomato processors.
