Yilan Sanxing Scallions are the most renowned green onions in Taiwan. They are characterized by long, white stalks; thick, tender leaves; fine fibers; a rich aroma; and a naturally sweet flavor without harsh pungency.
Their superior quality is attributed to the unique geographical conditions of Sanxing Township, Yilan—including pure Snow Mountain water sources, shale-rich soil, and significant day–night temperature differences—combined with farmers’ meticulous ridge planting methods and hands-on care.
