Exhibited products Kinko Town, particularly the Tashiro district, is a historically esteemed tea-producing region. We offer a full range of organic teas cultivated in this historic area, from matcha to green tea and hojicha.
Known as a tea-producing region since the Edo period,
it was praised by Kyoto tea merchants during the Taisho era as “rivalling Uji tea,”
and remains a region highly regarded by experts and buyers today.
Volcanic Ash Soil × Warm Climate: A Blessed Cultivation Environment
Kinko Town features well-drained, fertile soil formed by volcanic ash from Sakurajima.
This allows tea plant roots to grow deep, yielding high-quality leaves rich in umami.
Additionally, the warm climate nurtures tender leaves abundant in aroma and sweetness. Terroir nurtured by landscape and climate
Tea fields lie on hills overlooking Kinko Bay and Mount Kaimon,
where the grandeur of nature directly influences the tea's flavor.

Long hours of sunlight and minimal frost damage allow the tea leaves to grow healthily.
Sea breezes from Kinko Bay carry minerals, creating tea where “the land's character shines through in the taste.”
