Sicily is the number one region in Italy for agricultural area devoted to organic production. It is, in fact, the number one region for area with organic grape vines. The key words of the Sicilian wine system are sustainability and respect.

Thanks to the work of the new generations of winemakers, production is moving more and more towards the search for greater freshness, cleanliness and versatility of wines, that is towards wines that are capable of easily combining with most international cuisines.

The Consortium's mission is to connect passionate winemakers all across the region. The Consortium aims at strengthening the identity of Sicilian wines, improving their quality, image and positioning within the market. It is the task of the Consortium also to make the Sicilia Doc system known, as a guarantee of the excellence of contemporary wines, which are pleasant and have an excellent quality/price ratio.
