Fada trading Pty Ltd as Pacific Coast Eco Bananas is situated in Far North Queensland, Australia. Since 2002, the company has been administered by the founders Frank and Dianne Sciacca from their head office based at the Boogan site in North Queensland.
The company has a joint venture with five family owned farms that grow, harvest, process
and pack over 1000 acres of bananas produced under a certified ecoganic farming system.
Ecoganic farming creates a balance between producing quality food and protecting and improving soil health and the ecosystem. This balance is key to ensuring the survival of both agriculture and natural ecosystems like the Great Barrier Reef. Verified through scientific based monitoring systems of insects and microorganisms Ecoganic certification is able to validate healthy soil and ecosystem outcomes.
The group employ over 230 staff across the regions of Qld and Victoria. Ecoganic Products include Banana, Avocado, Apple & Pear.
In 2018 the company was awarded the Prince of Wales Environmental Leadership - Reef Sustainability Award.
