Valdealto is a family-owned winery with a legacy spanning more than 300 years. Located in the Sierra de la Moneda, a singular corner of Extremadura where vineyards coexist with Mediterranean forest, poor soils and a climate that demands the very best from each vine, we craft wines that stand out for their freshness, balance and authenticity. We work exclusively with our own grapes, sourced from small plots cultivated under organic viticulture. Each harvest is carried out by hand, plot by plot. Our vineyards grow on sandy, sandy-clay and stony soils rich in quartzite, under a continental climate with slight Atlantic influence. These conditions allow us to obtain grapes with natural concentration, elegance and a distinctive character that defines Valdealto. In the winery, we apply minimal intervention: native yeasts, micro-vinifications and ageing in French oak barrels and foudres. Our aim is to express a fresher, finer and truly authentic Extremadura.
